Favicon
A favicon (short for favorites icon) is a 16 x 16 pixel icon that is displayed next to your URL in your browser window. It is typically created using an element from your website design to further strengthen your brand identity and help your site stand out on a list of bookmarked sites.

Favicons are supported by most browsers, although sometimes Internet Explorer can be kind of fickle. If you can't see your favicon, try bookmarking your site or adding it to your Favorites. That usually does the trick!
